William A. 'Trip' O'Donnell III is a founder of HealthCast
and its senior executive responsible for business development and growth.
He left an executive position at Westlake Plastics (an orthopedic implant
materials manufacturer where he led operations, marketing, and sales
for eighteen years) to found HealthCast. Prior to Westlake, Mr. O Donnell
was Business Manager for the Golf Division of Wilson Sporting Goods;
Vice President of Real Estate Development for Amelia Island Plantation,
Fla.; and Assistant to Arnold Palmer, Arnold Palmer enterprises. Mr.
O'Donnell holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania,
and a BA degree from Duke University.
Joan Mehn is Chief Executive Officer of HealthCast,
Inc. Prior to joining HealthCast, Ms. Mehn was a private equity investor/advisor
to health care Internet start-up companies. Recently, she was Senior
Vice President of Bridge Medical, a health care technology company focused
on preventing medication errors at the patient's bedside. Previously,
she was Senior Health Care Specialist at McKinsey & Company, where
she managed the Firm's large and prestigious health care practice and
served providers and payors in the U.S. and Europe. Ms. Mehn was also
a senior executive at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where she
led planning and marketing. She is a Physical Therapist, has developed
and managed large rehabilitation programs, and conducted research in
juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and neonatology. Ms. Mehn holds a BA from
the University of California at Berkeley, an advanced degree in Physical
Therapy from Columbia University, and a MSHCA from the California State
University system.
Ray Madril is Director of Product Research. He joined
HealthCast in 1996, following nine years at Micron Technology in positions
ranging from Production Management to lead Applications Programmer.
His background at Micron includes the development of a variety of key
production software systems. Mr. Madril has been a key architect and
developer for many of the core HealthCast technologies. He is responsible
for discovering new technologies and integrating them into HealthCast s
new and existing products, in addition to assisting Product Management
to define functional specifications for new products, and advises development
on architecture, design specifications, and trends.
Fred Lock is Director of Engineering for HealthCast.
He brings more than twelve years of professional software development
experience and leadership to this position, which he assumed in June
of 2002. Fred joined HealthCast in 1998 as a Lead Engineer, bringing
technical skills in Java (J2SE, J2EE), UNIX (Solaris, Linux), XML, XSLT,
C++, x86 Assembly Language, UML, OOA/D, and Technical Project Management.
Prior to joining HealthCast, he was a SDRAM Test Engineer for Micron
Technologies, where he developed and maintained C/C++ applications to
run on Solaris workstations and used Teradyne automated test equipment
to test the electrical characteristics of SDRAM memory products. Prior
to that, he spent six years as a Programming and Engineering Specialist
at the University of Idaho Mechanical Engineering department. Fred holds
a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from Washington
State University with additional coursework in Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering, and Physics completed at the University of Idaho.
Christine Kovash is Director of Corporate Relations.
She was formerly Manager of Human Resources for the largest division
of MK Rail Corporation, with over 1400 employees in various locations
through the U.S. and Mexico. Ms. Kovash was responsible for all recruiting,
employee training and development, and compensation programs. More recently,
Ms. Kovash was a human resources consultant and President of Resource
Management Services, Inc.
