Data Transformation Engine (DTE) is a data integration and transformation
tool that accesses and integrates data from legacy systems and proprietary
databases, translating data fields into relevant and compatible data components.
It can accommodate HL7 data streams (or those from other messaging schemes)
or use its own data generators to access data. XML and XSLT is used to
transform and validate the fields.
DTE is built on open standards, using the J2EE framework. It is platform-independent,
highly scalable, and reliable. It can be used to populate discrete data
repositories or HealthCast's Patient Data
Browser remote access portal. No changes to backend legacy systems
are required.
DTE brings the power of integrated information to health care organizations.
Tapping into this power can fundamentally improve the quality of patient
care – whether by creating a ‘data mart’ that integrates
genomic and clinical information, ensuring more accurate and timely
financial performance, or enabling physicians to view and print visually-integrated
patient data in their homes and offices.
