BOISE and HOUSTON — (June 22, 2004) — HealthCast LLC, a leading provider of enterprise single sign-on solutions for hospitals, and BMC Software, Inc. [NYSE: BMC], a leader in enterprise management solutions, today announced an integrated identity management and single sign-on solution that allows healthcare providers to enhance the efficiency of their network security environment. BMC Software’s CONTROL-SA® provisioning solution combined with HealthCast’s eXactACCESS enterprise single sign-on solution offers users a powerful Identity Management solution that strengthens data security, improves clinical workflow, and simplifies password and user management while reducing IT and Help Desk costs.
The combined solution provides a unified management infrastructure with secure role-based access control, enterprise single sign-on, enterprise identity management, and provisioning for internal and external application users. To help reduce costs, the solution uses existing Directory Services, accommodates biometrics and proximity cards, manages existing password structures, and provides audit reports. Its advanced features include:
· Multiple-User Session functionality that increases security and productivity at shared workstations;
· RoamingSessions™ that allow clinicians to ‘roam’ to other workstations, accessing their secured open session using Terminal Server technology, and
· One-step de-activation of all user accounts.
