FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

eXactACCESS® Enterprise Single Sign-On and QwickACCESS™ Solutions from HealthCast®, Inc. are Verified as Citrix® Ready.

December 15, 2011. Boise, ID. - HealthCast, Inc. announced today that both its eXactACCESS (“XA”) Enterprise Single-Sign-On and its QwickACCESS (“QA”) proximity badge-enabled software solutions have been verified by Citrix as Citrix Ready.

“What is so terrific about our integration with Citrix”, says Lori Kelly, HealthCast’s VP of Professional Services, “is that a physician, for example, can access patient information anytime and anywhere.  Imagine that Dr. Jones has started his XA published or virtual desktop session from his home to view patient information prior to deciding whether or not to go into the hospital.  His session can be started on his iPad with secure, remote second-factor authentication (such as PhoneFactor, Verisign’s VIP or ImageShield) before leaving his home for the hospital, and then smoothly roam that same session into the shared clinical workstation environment within the hospital.  HealthCast’s unique proximity badge functionality which includes “tap-in, tap-out, and tap-over” functionality will then automate his access, security, and fast-user switching to the roamed session and applications in the hospital without requiring usernames or passwords.”

Another important enhancement when smoothly roaming a session is HealthCast’s location awareness.  This feature allows the XA user’s desktop session to be secured when using the Citrix Online Plug-In or Citrix Web Interface, and their session smoothly roamed to a different computer.  XA will automatically “pull” the Citrix desktop session and/or published apps over from the original computer, while securely logging the user out of their previous XA session on the original computer to maintain data privacy and security.

QA, too, adds important benefits to a Citrix environment, automating secure access to XenApp or XenDesktop with its proximity badge functionality (i.e., tap-in, tap-out, tap-over, and rolling configurable password-save timings).  QA is simple to install and support, and can be used alone to provide access to comprehensive EMRs or virtual desktops or in front of any SSO solution, including Citrix Password Manager.  While designed to support HIPAA compliance in healthcare organizations, QA can quickly streamline user workflow and strengthen compliance with security regulations in other industry verticals, including hospitality, retail, financial services, government, and education.

Videos demonstrating both XA and QA with Citrix solutions, as well as additional information, can be found on the HealthCast website at www.gohealthcast.com.   For more information, please contact:
